How to connect with other people in Swom
The text below is no longer completely accurate, and will be edited asap.
I was sure I had made a post about connecting with other people in Swom,
but when Greg Halliday made me look I was unable to find it here (wonder where it went).
Here’s a brand new one in his honor..
Connecting with other people in Swom is one of the main objectives.
If you have no connections you are talking to yourself and that’s never good..
As you may have noticed in Strategy for Maxing your points in Swom you get
1 point for connecting. If you do things like you should do, you also greet new connections.
This means that every connection is atleast 2 points.
More if the initial greeting leads to a conversation.
TIP: If you want a conversation always include a question.
Here’s a video on how to connect with the newest members of Swom
To connect with old members of Swom I recommend Firefox Browser with the Linky application.
Linky lets you open several links at once in different tabs and it makes the connecting part a little easier.
When you have Firefox and Linky ready to use, you just go to my profile by clicking here
Then you click on See All under Connections. Here’s the fast directlink if you are lazy or can’t find it
Start on 1, mark all 27, open with Linky in new tabs and send connect requests to all.
Then go to 2 and repeat and so on
Don’t do it all in one day..
Please make sure you have text in your profile, and add new text whenever you think of something good that people might search for to try to find you.
